A disastrous event was recently prevented by the alertness of a Vande Bharat operator. The incident occurred with a Udaipur-Jaipur Vande Bharat train. Iron rods and pieces, stones, etc., were placed on the track of the train. However, the train operator spotted them in time and prevented what could have been a disastrous derailment. An investigation was launched which found that it was a prank by children.

In a video that recently went viral on social media, it was reported that there was an attempt to derail a Vande Bharat train from Udaipur to Jaipur. The incident took place on October 2, Monday. However, it was prevented by the vigilant train operator.
Objects were placed on tracks which could have derailed the train. These included rocks, stones, and pieces of metal. Two iron rods measuring one foot each were also placed in the joggle plate of the train.
Around 9:55 AM when the train was passing through Chittorgarh’s Gangrar-Soniyana section, the operator spotted the objects and hit the emergency brakes. An investigation was launched to inspect the matter. It was initially believed to be an attempt to create a nuisance and disturb the peace but the investigation found that it was not the case.

A Prank By Two Curious Children
According to an article recently published by Udaipur Times, five teams were constituted to investigate the matter. The teams were appointed by Shrawan Kumar, the Deputy Sp (Circle Inspector Gangrar) and it was found that the rocks and other objects were placed by two children.
The two kids, as per the article, were somewhere between the ages of 10 and 12. As per the article, they were fascinated by the Vande Bharat train and wanted to see it up close. While they were returning from a chore assigned to them, they picked up a few rocks and rods and placed them on tracks.
Once the train stopped before the rocks, they managed to see it and then they went away.
