Recently, Saudi travel trends revealed that more people in the kingdom are preferring to travel with their families to take a vacation. This was especially true for the summer of 2024 wherein people preferred nearby destinations, such as Egypt, Turkey, and the UAE. In fact, the number of flight frequencies had also increased due to the growing appetite of Saudi travellers for a vacation. As a result, it’s not far-fetched that citizens and residents alike also have Asian countries, like China on their radar. And China has now decided to open a new visa application centre in Riyadh. Intending to offer more convenient and efficient services, this new visa centre in the capital has already begun its trial operation operations.
China Opens New Visa Centre In Riyadh
As revealed by Visa Guide News, a new visa application centre has begun its trial operations on Monday, August 26. As it happens, this visa centre will open officially on August 29, which happens to be Thursday. So, the Chinese authorities have explained that the application centre will be responsible for handling applications that have been received from ordinary foreign passport holders.
As revealed in the report, the embassy has already processed over 20,000 visa applications this year, which is a remarkable growth in volume as compared to the processor. The new centre will be operated by China Youth Travel Service (CYTS) Aoyou Technology Development Co., Ltd., which has been entrusted by the Chinese embassy. In fact, those who hold service, diplomatic, or courtesy passports or are people who are applying for diplomatic or service visas should submit their applications directly to the embassy. It should be noted that the application centre will be collecting visas and express service fees on the embassy’s behalf. However, they will also be charging their own service fee.
