The Lucknow Mango Festival is popular for celebrating the varieties of mangoes and the agricultural richness of India. This year, the festival was held from July 4 to 6 and was even attended by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. However, on the last day, things took a chaotic turn when the crowd got out of control and people began stuffing mangoes in bags, sarees, and dupattas. Several visuals of the festival’s last day chaos are now going viral on social media.
Unruly Crowd On Last Day Of Lucknow Mango Festival
The Lucknow Mango Festival is an annual fest where mango enthusiasts showcase the rich variety of mangoes grown in the region. In addition to the fruit displays, visitors can explore a range of food stalls and exhibitions, with separate sections designated for tasting and purchase.
However, the event turned chaotic this year. Many videos on social media captured the frenzy that occurred after the Lucknow Mango Festival concluded on July 6. Visitors swarmed the mango stalls, stuffing the fruits into sarees, dupattas, bags, and even their pockets.
Ignoring announcements and signage, people were seen grabbing the display mangoes and making a dash for the exits. Young and old, men and women—no one was an exception to the unruly behaviour witnessed on the final day of the Lucknow Mango Festival.

Internet Calls Out The Lack Of Civic Sense
Social media is currently flooded with videos of people grabbing mangoes off the counter at the Lucknow Mango Festival. This behaviour has once again raised questions about event management, public behaviour, and civic responsibility of the citizens.
Disappointed by the behaviour of people, an X user said, “This is our civic sense. No wonder, other countries don’t want Indians on their land.”
Another posted, “What will they teach their kids if this is what they’re doing at their age?”
“There was a time when self-respect, honour, integrity, and honesty were valued in our culture. It is heartbreaking that we lost it along the way,” one of the comments on the post read.
This behaviour is truly disrespectful and disappointing. Let us know your thoughts about it in the comments.
