Ever since the British band Coldplay, led by Chris Martin, set foot in India, they have been painting the town Yellow. After enthralling fans with two successful concerts in Mumbai, Coldplay is all set to perform their biggest concerts in Ahmedabad on January 25 and 26. In true Amdavadi style, the band’s lead singer, Chris Martin, set the Internet on fire with a video of himself riding pillion on a scooter.

Coldplay Singer Chris Martin Arrives In Ahmedabad On A Scooter

“What the heck?” exclaimed Chris Martin as he rode pillion on a scooter in Ahmedabad ahead of his concert at the Narendra Modi Stadium. In a video shared by Coldplay on its official X handle, Chris is seen casually dressed in a T-shirt and shorts, enjoying a late-night scooter ride with a desi man in a quiet lane in the city. He captioned the video “Arriving in Ahmedabad”. There can’t be a better and more Amdavadi way to be in the city than to ride a scooter.

Another picture shared by the band shows Chris Martin delightfully posing on the scooter as a pillion. A local is seen smiling widely after all he took his idol for a ride. Literally! The British rock band will perform at Narendra Modi Stadium, the largest cricket stadium in the world that can accommodate one lakh attendees. VVIPs and dignitaries from across India will arrive at the concert. It will commence at around 5:30 PM and end at 10 PM. Entry gates of the stadium will open for spectators by 2 PM.

Heavy Security Deployed At Narendra Modi Stadium

An elaborate security apparatus has been set up by a team. A special forces unit and National Security Guard team will be at the venue. About 3,825 policemen will be deployed in and around the Narendra Modi Stadium, including female officers. A network of over 400 CCTV cameras will monitor the event. For those who couldn’t get tickets for Coldplay’s Spheres India tour, they can watch the live stream of the concert on Disney+ Hotstar.

During his time in India, Chris Martin made sure he was part of the five-year anniversary celebration of the Sachin Tendulkar Foundation. He gave shoutouts to Shah Rukh Khan and Jasprit Bumrah. His recent Instagram story shows a picture of a hand-drawn cricket ball. The caption states that even ace bowler Jasprit Bumrah would struggle to bowl with the almost spherical ball. A call back to their Spheres India tour.
