Port Blair is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Akasa Air will soon launch daily flights to Port Blair from Bengaluru in Karnataka. These flights will be routed through Tamil Nadu’s Chennai before landing in Port Blair. However, no change in aircraft will be required for passengers at Chennai. Here are all the important details that you would need to know about this new flight route.

Millions of people visit the Andaman and Nicobar Islands every year, especially the capital city of Port Blair. Given its popularity, Akasa Air, a low-cost Indian airline and one of the fastest-growing airlines in the country will soon introduce a route to Port Blair from Bengaluru via Chennai. Even though it is not a direct flight, passengers will not have to change the aircraft in Chennai.
The flights commence on December 15 and the booking for these flights is now open on the website as well as on the mobile app of Akasa Air. This means that people who want to book a flight can do so via these platforms. The flights will depart daily from Bengaluru at around 6 AM and will land in Chennai at 7:05 AM. From there, it will depart at 7:45 AM for Port Blair.
It will finally arrive in Port Blair at 9:55 AM. The return flight will take off from Port Blair at 10:35 AM and will land in Chennai at 1 PM. At 1:35 PM, it will take off from Chennai and will land in Bengaluru at 2:50 PM. Even though the flight is not direct, no change in aircraft will be required for passengers when they land in Chennai.

Introductory Sale Offers Discount Of Ten Per Cent On Ticket
In order to commemorate the new flight route, Akasa Air is offering a ten per cent discount on flight tickets on this route. You can avail of the discount by entering the code FLYNOW on the app as well as on the website. In a statement, Praveen Iyer, the Co-Founder of Akasa Air, stated that the airline aims to improve connectivity between the two cities.
