flydubai is a budget airline, which is based in Dubai. And recently, this airline announced that it would launch direct flights to Benghazi in Libya. This has become the first UAE carrier to operate direct services between Dubai and Benghazi. These flights are scheduled to begin in June, and here is all you need to know about it.
flydubai To Begin Flights To Benghazi
flydubai is all set to become the first Dubai-based carrier that would offer direct services to Benghazi. Yes, the flights are scheduled to begin operations from June 17th from Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport. Through these flights, travellers will be offered direct connections to Benghazi Benina International Airport, and a new route will strengthen connectivity between the two countries. Passengers from Benghazi will also be given seamless access to the growing network of flydubai through the Dubai aviation hub.

With the announcement of Benghazi being added as a new route, the airline’s network in East and North Africa now expands to 13 destinations. This shows the carrier’s commitment towards opening underserved markets. Recently, it also started operations in Nairobi, which is its second point in Kenya after Mombasa.
Coming to the flight details, it would depart from Dubai at 6:50 AM and reach Benghazi at 10:45 AM. From Benghazi, the return flight would depart at 11:45 AM and reach Dubai at 7:15 PM. All of these timings are local time, and tickets will be available for booking through the official website or through travel partners.

What About The Tickets?
It should be noted that these flights will be operated a week from terminal three of Dubai International Airport. It’s also worth mentioning that Return Economy Class flight fares from DXB to Benghazi start at AED4,500.
Finally, this development comes after flydubai recently resumed operations to a majority of destinations in its network. This includes the GCC and the Middle East. Not to mention, this also includes select destinations in Europe and Russia. The carrier, as it happens, will also restart operations to seasonal summer destinations. This includes popular destinations like those of Bodrum, Dubrovnik, Santorini, Tivat, Mykonos, and more from May 22nd.
