The local trains of Mumbai are often dubbed its lifeline. So, even the slightest mishap with the trains or schedules can have a severe impact on the passengers who rely on it to reach their destinations day after day. Something similar happened this morning when the doors of a Mumbai AC Local failed to open at a crucial junction like Dadar. Here are all of the important details that you would need to know about this train malfunction.
Commuters Left In A Lurch After Mumbai AC Local Malfunctions
According to a post made by a passenger on X (formerly known as Twitter), the incident took place on the morning of Saturday, November 23, 2024. It took place at around 8:33 AM as per the post. The train was heading from Titwala to the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus or the CSMT.
The train arrived at Dadar as per usual; however, the automatic doors of the AC Local failed to open. As a result, then, scores of passengers were left in a lurch as they could not get on or off the train. The passengers who had to get off at Dadar, had to deboard at Parel, significantly impacting their schedules and travel time.
For those who may not know, Dadar is arguably one of the biggest stations on the railway line. Most of the crowd either gets off or on the train at Dadar. Hence, this seemingly minor glitch had a major impact on the passengers.

This Is What The Authorities Had To Say On This Matter
In response to the post, authorities responded by saying that they regretted the inconvenience that was caused today morning.
They also went on to say that it was a result of a technical glitch and that the officials were trying their level best to fix it and ensure that it does not happen again. It is hoped that such mishaps don’t become a common occurrence.
