30 People Infected After Hosting Family Gatherings

Thirty of the new cases infected with Covid-19 in the UAE come from two families who broke social distancing rules. The families held social gatherings at home, which led to them being infected. The infected people include a two-month-old infant and a number of elders.

Dr Amna Al Dahak Al Shamsi, official spokesperson of the UAE Government, said 546 new cases of coronavirus have been recorded in the UAE. 25,573 more tests were carried out, bringing the total number of Covid cases in the country to 15,738.

A total of 206 new recoveries were also registered on Wednesday.

MoHAP also announced 206 new recoveries, taking the total number of recoveries to 3,359 as of May 6. ⁣⁣⁣⁣Currently, 12,222 patients are still receiving treatment.
