The UAE government on Monday announced a huge list of commercial services that will be shut in the city. While schools, nightclubs, beaches and parks continue to remain shut, malls have been added to this list. Amidst the coronavirus scare, the UAE has decided to close all commercial centres including shopping malls for a period of two weeks. Fish, meat and vegetable markets will also be closed.
However, grocery stores, pharmacies and wholesalers are excluded from the new rule. In a statement, the Ministry of Health and Prevention and the National Emergency and Crisis and Disasters Management Authority said the decision will be effective after 48 hours, and is subject to review and re-assessment.
