Recently, Dubai set the record for selling the most expensive cocktail in the world. This cocktail was served in a one-of-a-kind crystal glass. As revealed in a report by Khaleej Times, the drink was concocted with custom-made ingredients. Sold for €37,500, it approximately converts to AED1,56,000. This happened at the fine dining restaurant Nahate, and the cocktail was purchased by Diana Ahadpour, a Dubai-based model and entrepreneur. She got her hands on the cocktail after a fierce bidding battle.

It’s now important to talk about the drink and shed some light on the same. As it happens, the ingredients used for making this cocktail are truly special. It was served in Baccarat glassware that was made in 1937. The best bit? It was in a museum until now! And there are only two pieces that were made from a very special crystal. As it happens, the buyer of the cocktail was given these glasses as a keepsake. Talking about the cocktail, thi was made using Kina Lillet, which was used in the original recipe of the cocktail that was created for James Bond 007. As they do not produce the original versions anymore, there are now only a few bottles left, and they got this one from the 1950s. In fact, and goes to a betters from the 1930s was also chosen to complete the exclusive drink.

This exclusive drink was mixed by Salvatore ‘The Maestro’ Calabrese and one of the world’s most renowned bartenders. Not just the most expensive cocktail, but Dubai also auctioned the costliest mocktail that was served in a pure silver goblet. And it doubles as a keepsake for the guest. Priced at AED12,099, this was unveiled at the Jimmydixs Restaurant and Lounge in Barceló Hotel, which is located in Al Jaddaf. A concoction featuring pomegranate juice, sea salt, cranberry, and 24-karat EU-certified edible gold water & dust, it was truly one liquid gold of a drink.
