Electric Abras have been introduced to as part of an environment-friendly move while offering stunning views of the Dubai skyline.

What Is It?

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has introduced its electric abra service on the creek between Al Seef, Baniyas and Festival City stations for a more environment-friendly way to move around the Dubai Creek now. Riders will be able to enjoy the stunning skyline of Dubai and its beautiful beaches in the electric Abras while offering a fascinating sea cruise experience. A half an hour ride on the electric abra costs AED 60, while the hour-long option costs AED 120.

What Else?

“The launch of the electric abra service hits multiple targets. It broadens the marine transport network and serves tourist activities on the Dubai Creek, which is attracting a growing number of tourists,” said Nazim Faisal, director of marine transport at the RTA’s public transport agency.
