The UAE ranks at the seventh spot in a recent list released in a UN human development report. Ranking first in the region on the Gender Inequality Index, it was a part of the list of nations for efforts to promote gender equality. As such, it ranked countries on the basis of their efforts to reduce inequality between women and men.

3. Dubai Customs Launches 11 Diverse Community Initiatives

The authority is continuing to be dedicated to its voluntary and community endeavours throughout Ramadan. Yes, and they’re doing this by catering to diverse societal groups and their workforce. And for this purpose, they have launched 11 community initiatives during the holy month. During the month, this authority conducts several activities and charitable projects that address different aspects of social responsibility and volunteerism it upholds. 4. Abu Dhabi Sports Council Launches A Calendar Of Community Sporting Events

The Abu Dhabi Sports Council recently launched a diverse calendar of community sporting events. This will be taking place during Ramadan! Some of the sought-after events include the Abu Dhabi Government Games, Abu Dhabi Blitz Chess Tournament, and Ramadan Fun Run, to name some.

5. Sheikh Mohammed Ramadan Receives Ramadan Well-Wishers

Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Ruler of Dubai and Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE received well-wishers for Ramadan. This happened in the presence of Their Highnesses Hamdan bin Mohammed and Ahmed bin Mohammed, at Union House in Dubai.

6. Dubai RTA Cautions Motorists To Avoid Driving When Exhausted

Emphasising the safety of motorists on the road during the month of Ramadan, the Dubai RTA recently posted a notification on X. Yes, it mentioned that motorists have been cautioned to avoid driving while feeling exhausted or drowsy. This was announced keeping in mind the fatigue and drowsiness that people might feel as there are changes in eating and sleeping habits.

7. Happiness Vehicle Is Now Available In Dubai

The Dubai Municipality has made it easier for the people in Dubai with their Happiness Vehicle that’s available for its citizens. You can book it now, the team will come to your location, and assist with applying for e-services. As such it will also help in efficiently handling the transactions, thereby saving your time and effort.

8. Dubai RTA Completes Road Improvement On Major Stretch

Dubai RTA has finally completed construction works on several internal roads. These were at Margham, Lehbab, Al Lesaili, and Hatta. As such, this project spanned 35 km and it also included 18 km of roadwork. Not to mention, there was also an addition of lighting poles along another 17 km of existing streets.

9. Maryam Al Hammadi Becomes The 1st Emirati ATCO In Sharjah

A landmark achievement, she has become the first Emirati woman ATCO in Sharjah. For this, she has completed the training programme that’s required by the International Civil Aviation Organisation.

10. Etihad Airways Will Introduce Direct Flights Between Abu Dhabi & Nairobi

In a recent post by Etihad Airways, it was revealed that starting from May, non-stop flights will be introduced to Nairobi. Yes, you can experience the thrilling safaris and even uncover the heritage and wildlife, as this is the gateway to East Africa. As such, these flights will begin on May 1.
