1. Dubai RTA Starts Trial Of Driverless Taxis In Jumeirah

Recently, Dubai RTA took to its official account on X (formerly Twitter) to announce that it has begun the trial phase of driverless taxes in Dubai. This testing is happening in the Jumeirah 1 area and autonomous taxis can be seen plying on the city roads. This is a big deal as with this step, Dubai will move further in the direction of autonomous transportation.

2. Temporary Closure On The E611 Emirates Road

A temporary closure of the E611 Emirates Road that goes from Ras Al Khaimah towards Sharjah between Al Qarn exit and the Al Shuhada Bridge, will be closed on October October 17. It’s worth noting that this was mentioned by the official Instagram account of Umm Al Quwain Police! Additionally, motorists have also been warned of the speed radar that is being placed on the detour site.
3. Huge Dead White Whale Spotted In RAK Waters
Some fishermen spotted a dead baleen whale off the coast in Ras Al Khaimah on Thursday morning. The huge whale measured about 35 m and it was found by a fisherman on a daily trip to the sea. Floating on the surface of the water about 8 km from Al Jazeera Al Hamra Creek, it is speculated that the creature could have died either due to a collision with a ship or its age. There is a suspicion about the large whale encountering a killer whale as well!

Qatar Airways recently opened its whimsical Qatar Airways Garden. It is located at Expo 2023 Doha, which will run for six months, concluding at the end of March 2024. With an ode to the timeless Gardens of Versailles, this exquisite green landscape features iconic landmarks from across the continent that Qatar Airways connects. So, from the Middle East to Asia and Europe, you will find some pretty cool figures here that will make for a perfect background to your photos.
5. Loro Piana Re-opens Flagship Store In Dubai

In a round of exciting developments, Loro Piana, has reopened its store in Dubai. The flagship store which is located at Dubai Mall, has reopened after some extensive renovation. Offering customers an unparalleled luxurious shopping experience, this newly designed store is now open across two floors and even has a private entrance entrance joining the two sections.
