Residents of Dammam, Saudi Arabia, appear to be in for a rainy weekend as they encountered heavy rain, hail, and flooding on the previous day. In response to the rain in Saudi Arabia, government officials issued public alerts and recommended that residents remain indoors and steer clear of inundated areas. Dammam, in particular, bore the brunt of the downpour on November 2, which included hailstorms and led to disturbances for the public.

7. Egypt’s Melon Exports to Saudi Arabia Double in 2023

Egypt has increased its exports of melons and watermelons to Saudi Arabia by two times in the first eight months of 2023, according to EastFruit. The country shipped 16,500 tons of melons and is poised to raise shipments by year-end. Saudi Arabia is a prominent melon importer in the region.

8. Saudi Arabia Eases Umrah Procedures for Bahraini Expats

Saudi Arabia has introduced a range of facilities for Muslim expatriates in Bahrain to perform Umrah in the kingdom. These facilities include an electronic visa, permission for all visa holders, and reduced health insurance fees. The announcement was made during a visit by the Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah to Bahrain.
