Indian Railways is teeming with updates and almost every other day, there seems to be a new Vande Bharat route. It is important to know all updates and yet, it can be hard to keep track of them all. 1. 9 New Vande Bharat Trains To Be Introduced
According to an article published recently published by India.com, not much is revealed about the details of the train. What we do know is that three of these will be on the Central Railways network. Potential routes include Mumbai to Jalna, Mumbai to Kolhapur, and Pune to Secunderabad. Recently, a new Vande Bharat route from Tata Nagar in Jharkhand to Varanasi was also announced.
2. Train Accident Statistics Over The Years
According to an article recently published by The Quint, the number of train accidents since the 1960s has dropped significantly. During the decade, there were a total of 14,769 train accidents. But in the decade between 2004 to 2005 and 2014 to 2015, there were only 1,844 train accidents. It also said that derailments were the most common cause of train accidents.
3. Vande Sadharan Train Unveiled
Vande Sadharan is the new non-air-conditioned rake. Aside from the lack of air conditioning, the general coaches of Vande Sadharan are quite like Vande Bharat. The Vande Sadharan is set to launch by the end of October.

4. Cop Caught Travelling Without Ticket
A video recently went viral on X (formerly, Twitter) of a cop travelling in Vande Bharat without a ticket. The video showed the cop in a heated argument with the Travelling Ticket Examiner. Watch the full video above.
5. Indore-Bhopal Vande Bharat Express Gets Extension
The Vande Bharat plying on the Indore-Bhopal route has received an extension. It will now also head to Nagpur in Maharashtra. The journey will be 20 minutes long and will be 635 kilometres long.
6. Open-Firing In New Delhi Rajdhani Express
According to an article recently published by The Hindu, a man travelling in the New Delhi Rajdhani Express allegedly opened fire after getting into an argument with the TTE. The man, who is 41 years old, was named Harvinder Singh and was from the Indian Army. No injuries were reported in the incident.
