It was recently announced that the salaries for government employees of Fujairah will get a 20% hike. Yes, Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, who is the Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah announced this resolution and it has come into effect from February 1.

2. Emirates Launches New Menu For Business Class

Recently, Emirates launched a new menu for its Business Class. This new in-flight menu will come into effect in May and has been created in collaboration with Moët & Chandon, a champagne giant. Yes, 18 new dishes will be brought to the roster and have been conceptualised and formulated to prepare perfectly with their champagne.

3. The Third Edition Of SHAMS Creativity Festival Inaugurated

The third edition of the SHAMS Innovations Festival, which is organised by Sharjah Media City has been inaugurated. It will happen till February 9 and includes a variety of products. The festival includes a diverse mix of events and live musical performances. Not to mention, there are also art exhibitions, cultural & entertainment workshops, and even screening of a range of films that are suitable for different age groups. Moreover, people must also take the time to relish food offerings by the Youth Food projects that are participating in the festival.

4. Limited Addition Drops At Sneaker On

Get ready to truly enjoy limited edition drops at Sneaker Con happening for the first time in MENA, the Sneaker Con is the world’s largest sneaker expo. With 150+ events in 15 years, you will find some of the most unique sneakers in the world, streetwear, and accessories at the arena. It is happening till February 9 and is taking place at the ANB Arena in Riyadh.

5. Child Protection Protocol Approved By Dubai

In a meeting chaired by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Dubai Child Protection Protocol was approved. This newly endorsed protocol emphasises a holistic approach with a strong focus on family support. The system will introduce proactive child welfare services, training programmes for social workers, and legislative reforms that aim to enhance governance in the sector.

6. UAE Tour Woman Kicks Off

Recently, Dubai Police HQ took to its X account to announce that the UAE tour women have kicked off from the Dubai Police Officers Club. It was then headed to Dubai Harbour while passing through the iconic city landmarks. Dubai Police was a strategic partner in ensuring safety and smooth traffic flow for this inspiring event.

7. Oman Celebrates World Wetlands Day

8. Jennifer Lopez To Perform In Abu Dhabi

Popular American singer and songwriter, Jennifer Lopez is performing in Abu Dhabi this February. She’s coming to the emirate for Saadiyat Nights and her concert is scheduled for February 20, 2025. Tickets are already up for grabs and they start at AED295. It’s worth mentioning that this is the second season of Saadiyat Nights.

9. Meningitis Vaccine Scrapped For Umrah Travellers

Saudi Arabia has scrapped the meningitis vaccine for Umrah travellers. Earlier, it was mandatory for all Umrah pilgrims, no matter what visa type they held. However, as informed by the GACA, in an updated vaccine requirements, it nullifies the previous circular, which was issued the last month.

10. Several Road Closures Announced In Abu Dhabi Till Sunday

For the cycling race, AD Mobility has announced several road closures till February 9. The rolling closure will be in effect in Al Ain from 11:50 AM to 4:45 PM on Saturday, February 8. While on Sunday, February 9, the final day of the women’s tour, the rolling closures will take place in Abu Dhabi from 1 PM to 5 PM
