If you haven’t been living under the rock, then you already know that Apple has finally entered the foldable smartphone race with the iPhone Duo. But the internet seems to be more interested in one thing: its price. The first foldable iPhone starts at ₹2,99,900 in India, and social media users wasted no time turning the price tag into a meme fest.

iPhone Duo Price Has Internet Doing The Math

The iPhone Duo was unveiled on September 9 as Apple’s first foldable iPhone. It comes with a 7.6-inch inner display and a 5.4-inch outer display, with storage options going up to 2TB. But soon after the launch, it was the nearly ₹3 lakh starting price that became the biggest talking point online.

The 256GB model is priced at ₹2,99,900, while the 512GB version costs ₹3,24,900. The 1TB variant comes for ₹3,74,900, while the top-end 2TB model costs a whopping ₹4,49,900 in India.

And, of course, the internet had thoughts.

“One Kidney Isn’t Enough” For iPhone Duo

The classic “sell a kidney for an iPhone” joke made a comeback, but this time netizens felt even one kidney might not be enough. One viral post joked that the old kidney joke no longer works and that buyers would need a “whole organ portfolio” to afford the foldable iPhone. Here are some memes you just can’t miss!

Others took a more practical approach and started listing what ₹3 lakh could buy instead. From a bike to a car’s ex-showroom price, and even Apple products that could be bought for the same amount, the comparisons kept pouring in.

Brands like Duolingo and Samsung also jumped into the iPhone Duo meme fest, adding their own hilarious takes to the internet’s growing list of jokes. From cheeky digs at the name to clever brand banter, their posts quickly joined the conversation.
