If you’ve ever fumbled for a parking ticket at City Walk, that hassle is officially gone. Parkin has rolled out a barrier-free, ticketless parking system in Dubai across the destination, and it’s designed to get you in and out without ever stopping at a gate.

How The New System Works

Here’s the good part: you simply drive in. No ticket, no barrier, no waiting. Cameras handle the rest through licence plate recognition, and your parking session is tracked digitally the moment you enter. It’s the same tech-first approach you’ve probably seen roll out at other major Dubai destinations recently, just now live at City Walk.

What It Costs After The Free Hour

Parking is free for the first hour. After that, it’s a flat Dh5 per hour, or part thereof, and the charge gets deducted automatically from your Parkin account. Don’t have one, or running low on balance? You’ll get a payment link sent straight to your phone to settle up, so there’s no risk of getting stuck at checkout. If you’re heading to Roxy Cinemas, The Green Planet, or select participating outlets, you can also validate your ticket for extra benefits.

The Boulevard’s Separate Deal

The Boulevard area within City Walk runs on its own system entirely. Visitors get 30 minutes of complimentary parking here, after which an hourly rate of Dh20 kicks in, charged through your Salik account rather than Parkin. Worth remembering if you’re planning a longer boulevard stroll or a leisurely coffee stop, since the free window is considerably shorter than the main City Walk zone.

Parkin has also been busy elsewhere in Dubai. It recently signed a five-year deal with Al Ghurair Centre for a similar ticketless system, offering three hours of free parking on weekdays and complimentary parking all day on Sundays and public holidays.
