The role requires the candidate to relocate to New York City, work weekends, and watch matches in 4K from a custom glass office set up in the middle of Times Square. In short, you’ll have to ditch your couch and experience football like a true corporate professional.

Now, before you get too excited, here’s everything you need to know about this FIFA World Cup 2026 watching job. According to The Times of India, interested candidates must create or update their Indeed profile before May 17, adding relevant experience and skills to support their application. They are also required to upload a short video on social media explaining why they’re the right fit for the role, using the hashtag #ChiefWorldCupWatcher.
The selected candidate will be responsible for creating social media content throughout the tournament, including live commentary, reactions, and watch-party-style updates. Please note that applications close on May 17.
The role is set to begin on June 6, about a week before the tournament kicks off, and will continue until July 26, a week after the World Cup final.
