Bridge On Sheopur-Sawai Madhopur Road Collapses In Rajasthan
According to the Free Press Journal, continuous rains caused the Bodal Ujala bridge on the Sheopur-Sawai Madhopur road to collapse on Wednesday. The collapse cut off road connectivity between Madhya Pradesh’s Sheopur district and Rajasthan’s Sawai Madhopur, Kota, and Baran.
The Parvati River had risen above bridge level–blocking routes, causing a flood-like situation, and the bridge to collapse. Reportedly, Rajasthan has witnessed relentless rains over the last two days. This has led to rivers like Seep, Parvati, and Chambal to overflow and flood many villages.
