Previously, some of the biggest names known internationally have marked their visit on the red carpet. However, as announced by the Red Sea Film Foundation, it is postponing the sixth edition of the film festival to the fourth quarter of 2027. The foundation’s decision reflects its commitment towards ensuring that the festival is staged at the right time and under the right conditions.
Year-Round Programmes At Culture Square
As revealed in a report by the Saudi Gazette, the aim of the foundation is to deliver an experience that people will remember it for. So, despite the postponement, it mentions that it will continue year-round activities. This will be done through the Red Sea Fund and Red Sea Labs along with its wider programmes and initiatives. Starting from November 26th, the foundation will be introducing something called year-round programmes at Culture Square. This is in historic Jeddah, and it will maintain the cultural and industry activities ahead of the return of the festival.
