The Saudi Arabia tourism sector recently revealed how it saw a record-breaking performance in 2025. Yes, it welcomed over 122 million domestic and international visitors. As a result, around SAR300 was generated in spending. This is according to the preliminary estimate as released by the Ministry of Tourism, and we are here to tell you about it.

If you visited Saudi Arabia in 2025, you would not be alone! As it happens, over 122 million domestic and international visitors also ended up spending around SAR300 billion in Saudi Arabia, as revealed by the Gulf News. The figures represent a 5% rise in the visitor numbers, as compared to those of 2024. Not to mention, the total tourism expenditure also climbed by 6% year on year. This underscores the kingdom’s accelerating momentum as it pushes forward its Vision 2030 target.

What Is The Target Of Vision 2030?

With a target of attracting 150 million tourists annually, the ministry also revealed that the latest results showcase the growing contribution of tourism when it comes to the national economy. This is driven by wide-ranging legislative and regulatory reforms. Not to mention, it expands the investment flows. If you’re wondering, this includes leisure, nature-based cultural, and business tourism, along with a calendar of some major international events.

Lifting Tourism Contribution To GDP

With the efforts of building local talent and expanding Saudi participation, the sector has undergone rapid infrastructure and service upgrades. Backing investors, it also aims to improve the visitor experience, for which the measures have helped in extending the average length of stays and lifting per capita spending.
