Dubai RTA took to its X account to announce the opening of the Mall of the Emirates Smart Bus Station. For those who aren’t aware, this is the first smart bus station in Dubai. It marks the authority’s drive towards developing an integrated public transport network, which would be powered by digital technologies and smart solutions. Here’s all you need to know about the smart bus station that’s not open in Dubai.

Complete with modern and sustainable design, the Mall of Emirates Smart Bus Station aligns with Dubai RTA’s corporate identity and outlook. It delivers all customer services through the 24*7 interactive and proactive digital services. Not to mention, this bus station also helps introduce and deliver a seamless and comfortable customer journey. As mentioned by the Dubai RTA, the bus station would serve 11 routes. It directly connects to the Mall of Emirates Metro Station.

It Spans 147 m² & Features Solar Panels

Establishing an advanced model for the future of public transport stations in Dubai, the RTA would scale this model in future. This would further integrate Dubai’s public transport network and provide a smart or sustainable mobility solution. It should be noted that it has transformed all the services into fully digital, paperless, and proactive services. It can accommodate 20 customers and includes a dedicated rest area for drivers.

The bus station spans 147 m² and features solar panels for power generation. Using advanced AI-powered cameras, it monitors crowd movement. There are also screens that display bus arrival times and a smart kiosk. Additionally, it features advanced digital systems and services.
