Cyclone Biporjoy: Indian Railways Has Cancelled 67 Trains Passing Through Gujarat’s Coastal District. Check The List

Cyclone Biporjoy is expected to make landfall in Gujarat’s coastal area of Mandvi between 4pm to 8pm today! It is also expected that the landfall might take place in Pakistan’s Karachi as well. The Western Railway said on Thursday morning that dozens of trains travelling through Gujarat’s coastal districts had been cancelled, with many also having their stops cut short as a precaution due to the cyclone. 

Railways Cancelled Train Due To Cyclone Biporjoy

Cyclone Biparjoy is anticipated to make landfall in Gujarat’s Saurashtra and Kutch regions, affecting the WR divisions of Bhavnagar, Rajkot, and Ahmedabad. Sections of Veraval-Junagadh, Rajkot-Okha, Porbandar-Kanalus, and Viramgam-Gandhidham-Bhuj are the most at risk from this cyclone. 

67 express trains will not run as a precaution, according to the Indian Railways. Five of the cancelled trains come from Mumbai and depart from Dadar, Bandra Terminus Station.

The gale wind speed of 115–125 kmph with gusts to 135 kmph, according to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), has the potential to seriously interrupt electricity and communication lines as well as trains. (As per Hindustan Times)
