This particular festival recently announced that it will not take place in the next year. After a massively successful celebration in 2023, the organisers have decided to take a pause for the next year. According to an article recently published in Time Out Melbourne, the festival is slated to return in 2025.

It is important to note that a couple of events which are a part of the Dark Mofo will still take place. These are The Nude Solstice Swim and The Winter Feast. These are two of the key events of the festival and they are in agreement with the State Government to host them.
