Celebrating a monumental decade in Pune, this incredible event will run from 26th November to 2nd December 2024 at the Dutch Palace. This is your chance to dive into a world of art, culture, and craftsmanship like never before.

Dastkari Haat Bazaar Returns To Pune With A Grand Craft Bazaar

This year, the Dastkari Haat Samiti has outdone itself with a showcase of crafts from across India. With over 110 stalls representing 20 states, you’ll get to experience a vibrant fusion of traditional craftsmanship and modern design. What makes this edition even more special is the introduction of several new and exciting crafts to Pune.

From Kashmir’s exquisite silk carpets and crewel embroidery to Gujarat’s mud-mirror work and leather crafts, Rajasthan’s silver jewellery to Delhi’s stunning metal crafts, and Karnataka’s banana fibre creations, this bazaar will have it all. Explore the intricate Kavad art, the timeless beauty of terracotta, the elegance of glazed pottery, the boldness of iron crafts, and so much more.

But that’s not all. Pune’s art enthusiasts will get a taste of the famous Kantha embroidery and Gamcha weaving from West Bengal, the intricate Chikankari from Uttar Pradesh, the delicate Ikkat and Bandhani textiles from Gujarat, and luxurious Banarasi and Maheshwari fabrics that have long been cherished across the globe. This year’s bazaar is a design lover’s dream! The bazaar is designed as a dynamic meeting point where architects, interior designers, and artisans can come together to collaborate and create.

Enthusiasts can get their hands dirty with interactive workshops led by master artisans. Learn the ancient art of Madhubani painting from Bihar, Patachitra art from Odisha, or Warli painting from Maharashtra.

These workshops, running from 27th November to 1st December, are designed to offer an immersive, hands-on experience. If you’re an architect or interior designer, you can even schedule a special guided walkthrough of the bazaar to discover how you can incorporate these traditional arts into your design projects.
