Ammy Virk On His Spiritual Side And Visiting Gurudwara

Kamiya has always noticed the devotion that many Sikhs have to the supreme almighty, Waheguru. It has always fascinated her. She asked Ammy Virk, a Sikh hailing from Punjab, whether he was religious and visited Gurudwara regularly. The actor and singer shared that he is religious, loves to visit Gurudwaras and follows all the rituals.

Ammy enlightened us about some of the primary principles of Sikhism. He began with dasvandh, a practice where one has to donate one-tenth of the income. It is donated to people in need in the form of cash, langar or more. The word ‘dasvandh’ translates to one-tenth part in English.

Along with that, Ammy Virk is also keen on doing sewa in Gurudwara. It is an act of selfless service by aiding hand in the chores at the place of worship. He told us, “I try my best to do sewa and dasvandh. I visit Gurudwara to seek blessings before any shooting schedule for an upcoming movie.”
