The dates for the newest edition of the much-awaited Sheikh Zayed Festival have now been declared! Yes, it is expected that the festival will be back from November 17 2023 to March 9 2024 in the Al Wathba area of Abu Dhabi. According to a report by Khaleej Times, it was mentioned that this festival will be held under the patronage of His Highness, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President. Not to mention, it will also be under the guidance of the Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Residential Code, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan. As it happens, this edition is expected to be a grand lineup of major cultural, entertainment, social, and sports events.

This Festival Has Previously Broken World Record With Largest Fireworks!

Coming to the preparation of the new edition, it was also mentioned in the report that the committee is intensifying its efforts. Moreover, the annual festival will again focus on promoting its primary messages of preserving the national heritage, affirming the depth of Emirati civilisation and carrying it through future generations, and of course, intensifying its role in promoting Abu Dhabi’s status as the leading tourist and cultural destination.

While no further details have been revealed by the committee regarding the number of pavillions, events, or even performances, we can expect it to be a grand affair once again. After all, previously, this festival has broken the world record for the largest fireworks display and drone show. So, it’s no secret that this festival is a major draw for tourists, attracting thousands of visitors annually for fun-filled and family-focused events and of course for witnessing the celebration of Emirati culture and heritage.
