The abrupt and prolonged cancellation of these trains between Bengaluru and Mangaluru has sparked considerable concern among railway passengers. Reports suggest that many people have expressed disappointment over this. They pointed out that there had been a lack of consultation and coordination prior to this announcement. However, railway authorities have maintained that the electrification of this section is vital. They believe that it will enable smoother, faster, and more sustainable rail operations in the future.

Reportedly, the electrification of railway lines forms a key component of Indian Railways’ broader initiative to reduce reliance on diesel locomotives. They believe this transition will significantly reduce emissions while improving the overall efficiency of both passenger and freight train operations across the network.
