The temple is located quite close to Gopnath Beach and one of the most iconic things about this place is that there are two flags flying here. Both these flags are for the temples of Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu. Nestled only about 22 km from Talaja in the Bhavnagar district, this is believed to be one of the oldest temples dedicated to Lord Shiva.
There are many surreal stories about this religious place. One of the most famous parts of mythology is that Narsinh Mehta meditated here and experienced something spiritual when he saw Lord Krishna and Gopis’ Raslila. This happened about 5 centuries back.
If you are planning to travel to Gopnath Beach, make sure you spend a day exploring the beautiful beach and nearby tourist places such as Bagdana-Bajrangdas Bapa Temple, Bhavani Ma Temple, Mogal Dham Bhaguda, Talaja Hill, and more. In just 2 days, you can visit so many places in this part of Gujarat. Visiting temples, praying to God, and exploring nature seem like a great plan.
