Aeroplanes always seem to be getting delayed due to some reason or the other. Latest in the series of aeroplane delays, an Air India flight which was headed to Delhi from Newark, made an emergency landing in the country of Sweden. The emergency landing was made owing to some sort of technical issue, according to early reports. This technical issue could have caused further problems during the flight hence, an emergency landing had to be made.
Air India Flight Makes An Emergency Landing In Stockholm
An Air India flight which took off from the Newark International Airport in the United States of America was supposed to land at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) in Delhi. However, due to a technical issue, the flight had to make an emergency landing in the Stockholm region of Sweden.
When the flight landed in the Swedish capital, inspections were made, upon which, it was found that the plane had an oil leak. The flight, which was carrying about 300 passengers, was safely and securely landed at the Swedish airport and no casualties or injuries were incurred.

Oil Leak In The Engine Of The Aircraft
As mentioned above, the aircraft was thoroughly inspected for technical problems. It was soon apparent to the technicians that there was a leak in one of the engines of the plane. According to a senior official of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), which is the civil aviation regulatory body of India, the technicians found oil dripping from the two drain mast during the inspection that happened on the ground.
The inspection is still underway. There were no injuries or casualties in the incident since the plane landed in time before causing any major damage. The plane was stationed safely at the Stockholm airport as inspections were underway.
