The train halted at Uttar Pradesh’s Gonda after railway officials in Delhi received a tip-off about the bomb. The news triggered panic among passengers and security personnel. However, after a thorough inspection, it was confirmed that the bomb threat was a hoax.
Hoax Bomb Threat Panics Passengers on Bihar Sampark Kranti Express
A Delhi-bound Bihar Sampark Kranti Express from Darbhanga was the latest target of a hoax bomb threat! According to an India Today report, the Delhi Control Room received a tip about a bomb on the train on Friday evening. The officials immediately alerted security forces, including the Government Railway Police (GRP) and the Railway Protection Force (RPF). The news about the bomb on the train triggered panic among the passengers.
The 12565 Bihar Sampark Kranti Express train was halted at Uttar Pradesh’s Gonda Junction at 7:30 PM. A bomb disposal team was called in and the train was thoroughly inspected. The authorities found no suspicious or explosive objects on the train and it was eventually allowed to continue its journey towards New Delhi Railway Station.

Bomb Scare Continues To Haunt Indian Transportation
The hoax bomb threat on Bihar Sampark Kranti Express comes weeks after many Indian air carriers were troubled by fake bomb threats. From Air India and IndiGo to Vistara, several airlines received tip-offs about bombs on various flights for more than a week. This severely impacted operations and caused multiple flight delays and panic among flyers.
The trouble started on October 14 when a Mumbai-New York Air India Flight was forced to reroute to Delhi after receiving a bomb threat. The plane was grounded at Delhi’s IGI Airport and passengers were safely deplaned. On the same day, IndiGo flights From Mumbai to Jeddah and Muscat also received similar threats.
