It’s that time of the year again when Delhi makes headlines every day for its extremely unhealthy air quality and alarming deterioration in the Air Quality Index. The unfortunate air pollution crisis continues to trigger Delhiites’ health and the number of people falling sick due to miserable surroundings in Delhi is on the rise too. The situation is accelerating fast and more and more patients are complaining about health concerns.
Delhi’s Air Pollution Surge The Demand For Air Purifiers And Nebulisers
Respiratory diseases and health issues due to air pollution are witnessing a significant uptick in the national capital. The effects are the harshest on kids and their immune system. A recently released report named ‘Respiratory Health and Demand for Respiratory Aids’ pointed out air pollution’s severe effects on kids’ respiratory health conditions. The survey by Warrior Moms revealed that almost one-third of nebuliser sold in Delhi are purchased for children.
In between pollution and toxic smog surrounding the city, many hospitals started to see a major rise in health issues. With more patients suffering from respiratory illnesses and health crisis, Delhi is reporting a sudden uptick in demand for air purifiers, nebulisers, and masks.
The report is a significant indication of the horrifying escalation in worsening respiratory conditions among Delhiites, especially among kids. Shopkeepers in East Delhi reported that about 120 customers visit stores every day and 40 among them purchase nebulisers. 13 of them are usually bought for children. The present situation is quite similar in South Delhi too. About 100 customers rush to pharmacies daily and 30 of them buy nebulisers. About 10 of these are for children.
On average, 90 customers visit pharmacies in Central Delhi daily and 27 buy these devices. About 9 are purchased for kids. The updates are more disappointing in North Delhi. Among 150 people heading to chemists daily, 50 buy nebulisers. Sadly, 17 of these are for children.

Air Purifiers Come To Rescue
Air pollution levels in Delhi are exorbitantly high currently. The particles and pollutants present in the air are horribly harmful and worrisome for people. The impacts are so severe that even unborn babies can face health consequences. Many Delhiites are using air purifiers inside their houses to deal with the major crisis. The number of customers getting these devices is surging.
