A massive fire broke out in a slum in Delhi’s Kanchan Kunj area on Monday night. A total of 11 fire tenders were rushed to the site and were successfully able to douse the fire. Thankfully, no injuries or casualties have been reported in this incident. As per reports, cooling operations are now underway to prevent any reignition.

On Monday night, a massive fire swept through a slum in Kanchan Kunj, Madanpur Khadar area in Delhi. Locals saw thick smoke emerging from the slum and fire tenders were called in. Responding quickly, 11 fire tenders were rushed to the site and were able to extinguish the blaze. No casualties or injuries were reported in the entire incident. However, the cause of the fire is still unknown.

As per an India TV report, while the fire has been successfully doused, cooling operations are underway to prevent any reignition. Fire officials and local authorities are also on-site to ensure safety, assess the damage, and investigate the cause of the fire.

Similar Incident Reported In A Cloth Factory In Bakkarwala

On September 8, a similar incident occurred in a cloth factory in the Bakkarwala area of Delhi. As per officials, the building was a commercial godown-cum-shopping complex and the cause of fire in this incident was an explosion in an LPG cylinder. It took 24 fire tenders to control the massive fire. As per officials, 25 fire engines were dispatched to the fire site!

While talking to ANI, the factory owner, Runu Mishra said that property worth crores was damaged in the fire. According to eyewitnesses, thick smoke and intense flames were seen emerging from the first floor of the double-story building. While the fire tenders were able to control the blaze, the monetary damage was already done. Thankfully, just like the Kanchan Kunj fire incident, there were no casualties or injuries in this incident either.

The officials are currently investigating the cause of the fire in the slum area of Kanchan Kunj. Further details are awaited in this incident.
