The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). Under this MoU, ASI allowed the sales of tickets to all the monuments managed by them through DMRC’s Momentum 2.0 mobile application. This collaboration aims to help visitors plan their trips more conveniently. They wish to simplify the ticket-booking process for the people.

According to NDTV, ASI and DMRC will together develop an integrated QR-based ticketing system. This will provide city residents as well as tourists a seamless access to Delhi Metro services and entry to selected centrally protected monuments in the city like Humayun’s Tomb, Red Fort, and Qutub Minar.

The two organisations also aim to promote Delhi’s rich cultural heritage with this collaboration. They will use digital platforms and signages for the same. For example, DMRC plans to put up informative boards with historical facts at some metro stations in the city.
