The Indian cities Delhi and Mumbai are important places to visit in India. The former is the National Capital whereas the latter is the financial capital! These cities are hubs for working professionals and businesses to seek opportunities. But do you know what else they are great at? Food!

Recently, they were featured in TasteAtlas’s list of the world’s top 100 cities that serve delicious local food. And you must definitely visit them. Apart from Delhi and Mumbai, there is mention of cities like Florence, Rome, Lima, Naples, Hong Kong, Mexico City, New York City, Paris, Tokyo and so on.

But how have they selected the cities? Well, they combined the average Google reviews of the top traditional restaurants in a given city, the average reviews of the finest national dishes served there, and the average ratings of the best local and regional cuisines there.

Food To Try In Mumbai & Delhi

The city of Delhi is divided into various areas like Chandni Chowk, Karol Bagh, Lajpat Nagar and so on. You will find street food stalls and iconic restaurants that serve some of the best delicacies. Dahi Bhalla, Momos, Choley Bhature, Paratha, Golgappe, Kebabs, Aloo Tikki, Kath Rolls and Ram Laddo.

As for Mumbai, it is famous for its beaches and the yummy pav bhaji served there! The city never sleeps, so you might find kebabs being served at Bademiya in South Bombay. Or you can indulge in the famous vada pav served at various stalls. And not to forget the authentic Maharashtrian food served at heritage restaurants in the city!
