IndiGo has once again made headlines for poor service and tardiness. This particular flight was from the Indira Gandhi International Airport or IGIA in Delhi. It was headed to the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport or CSMIA in Mumbai. The IndiGo flight ended up delaying for a whopping eight hours. What is worse is that the passengers were all stuck in the plane for a considerably long time and the worst part was that the AC in the flight was not functioning.
Delhi-Mumbai IndiGo Flight Stuck At Airport For 8 Hours
A recent flight from Delhi to Mumbai turned into a nightmare for its passengers. According to an article which was recently published by Mid-day, the flight was supposed to take off on the intervening night between July 13 and 14 and was numbered 6E6114. As per a passenger cited in the article, the flight was scheduled for 10:15 PM.
It was first delayed by 45 minutes and moved to 11 PM. The passengers were then informed that the flight was delayed till 12:30 AM. After that, the passengers boarded the plane and learned that the air conditioning was broken.
They were stuck inside a plane with no ventilation. Things took a turn for worse when hours passed and the flight did not move from the tarmac.
AC In The Plane Was Broken; One Passenger Even Fainted
Around 3 AM, passengers began to get peeved. They wanted to leave but were told that their baggage was checked in so they wouldn’t be able to get it. Around 3:10 AM they had to be deboarded. They waited on the tarmac for another couple of hours.
Around 5 AM they boarded a new flight. But the flight still did not take off. Until 7:30 AM, the plane was on the tarmac. Passengers said that the plane was in total chaos and the passengers were very frustrated. There was no communication from the airline at all, which was the most frustrating part.
