Delhi Restaurants To Open Its Doors 24/7 For Foodies To Go Midnight Restaurant Hopping

Hundreds of businesses and establishments will soon be able to provide services to customers at any moment of the day and night in Delhi. Very recently, the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, V K Saxena approved the proposal of allowing more than 300 businesses and establishments to run 24/7. This is surely a major push in boosting the nightlife in the national capital.

Several businesses such as hotels, restaurants, transportation, online shopping, medicines, logistics, and a lot more ranging in these over 300 establishments and businesses are allowed to provide services at any moment in the day. An important point to note here is that some of these applications were pending for a long time since 2016. And this approval of running businesses 24/7 will now work as a huge boost for a transformed nightlife in Delhi.

V K Saxena Pointed Out The Delay Of The Labor Department Officials

V K Saxena approved this pending proposal to exempt the applications under the Delhi Shops & Establishment Act, 1954. During the approval of the proposal, he also focused on and spoke about the delay of the Labor Department officials and how they delayed and failed to process applications over the past couple of years. The officials failed to process so many applications since 2016. According to a report by Livemint, they could not process 18 applications in 2016, 26 in 2017, 83 in 2018, 25 in 2019, 4 in 2020, 74 in 2017, 83 in 2018, 25 in 2019, 4 in 2020, and 74 in 2021.

The officials shared that the notification of this will be issued within 7 days. Also, more than 300 businesses and establishments in the national capital such as Delhi restaurants, hotels, and more will be on the service and run to provide services to the customers at any moment of the day. Now Delhites will enjoy the benefits of getting these facilities any time every day very soon.
