In an unfortunate turn of events, a temporary structure collapsed in Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. Around 12 people were trapped under the structure, out of which 8 were seriously injured. Thankfully, the Delhi Police & Fire Department has been able to successfully rescue them and get them hospitalised on time.
Temporary Stage Collapses At Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium
A temporary structure installed near Gate No. 2 of Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium collapsed on Saturday morning. This led to massive chaos as several people got trapped under it and were very severely injured. The incident happened around 11 in the morning. One of the temporary structures – a pandal – was under preparation and ended up trapping 12 people under it.

8 People Injured, No Casualties So Far After The Accident
While the exact number couldn’t be confirmed, it is reported that around 12 people were trapped under the collapsed structure in Jawaharlal Nehru stadium. Out of them, 8 were badly injured and rushed to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) for immediate treatment. Thankfully, no casualties have been reported so far. A team of police, fire, and ambulance rushed to the stadium on time for the rescue.
There has been no official report with details about the incident by the authorities yet. We hope for the speedy recovery of the injured parties!
