While renovating the face of Indian Railways, the Indian government and Ministry of Railways decided to introduce theme-based tourist trains that will offer tourists the opportunity to witness India’s rich culture and history. They are called the Bharat Gaurav Trains — and today, there is another one of those called the Bharat Gaurav North East Discovery to be flagged off from Delhi’s Safdarjung Railway Station. It will be done by the Honourable Minister of State for External Affairs & Culture.
North East Discovery: Bharat Gaurav Train To Be Flagged Off!

Today, the Minister of State for External Affairs & Culture Meenakshi Lekhi is supposed to flag off the Bharat Deluxe AC Tourist Train — the North East Discovery. This occasion will be adding another feather to the cap! And we wish to witness more such achievements in the near future. During the ceremony, the AGM of Northern Railways commenced by welcoming the guests.

He further stated that they are here to inaugurate the new North East Discovery train which will offer a magnificent tour of North East India. This train will help promote domestic tourism and is being developed under government-run programmes like Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat and ‘Dekho Desh Apna’. The Northeastern states like Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland and Tripura are included in this beautiful 15-day journey.

The prime guest of this event was Union Minister Meenakshi Lekhi. She started her speech by congratulating everyone on the occasion of Gudi Padwa. She is glad that a good deed is taking place ahead of this auspicious occasion. It is an honourable thing when the slogan of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat is seen in practicality. It is the right of every citizen to see the unique places of their country and the Indian Railway is making that dream come true.
She further stated that it is the Prime Minister’s vision to connect every city of the country via a strong rail route. While she was reading the details of the train, she noticed that people travelling by it will experience India’s unity in diversity.
