The Delhi Traffic Police has issued a special advisory in the city today. Due to some special traffic arrangements, congestion is expected in some parts of Delhi today. Keeping this in mind, they have asked commuters to avoid certain roads in the city from 4 PM to 8 PM. They have even urged people to use public transport for convenience. Read on to know more.

The Delhi Traffic Police took to X (formerly Twitter) to issue a special traffic advisory for May 20. Due to some “special traffic arrangements,” they will be regulating general traffic movement on certain roads in the city. That’s why they’ve asked commuters to avoid these routes from 4 PM to 8 PM today.
These routes include –
- Mehrauli – Badarpur Road (from Khanpur To Karni Singh Shooting Range)
- Entire Alaknanda Road/Indermohan Bhardwaj Marg
- Outer Ring Road (from Savitri Flyover to Chirag Delhi)
- Ravidas Marg (from Hamdard to Tara T-Point).
- Internal Roads around DDA Park Sangam Vihar.

Make Use Of Public Transport To Avoid Traffic
Furthermore, the Delhi Traffic Police has urged people to make “maximum use of public transport” today, especially the Delhi Metro. If public transport isn’t an option, then they have asked people to “keep sufficient time at hand” while planning their road journey around the above-mentioned routes. The Delhi Traffic Police has also asked people to keep patience, follow traffic rules and discipline, and cooperate with the police at all times. Traffic personnel will be deployed in these areas for better assistance of the people.
