Grand arrangements are being made to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of India. This year, a nationwide Samvidhan Divas Padyatra will be organised. Ahead of the event in Delhi, traffic police have already issued an advisory to be followed due to the Padyatra on November 25. From sharing information about travel restrictions to mentioning road access, the issued details convey all necessary updates.

  • To commemorate the 75th anniversary of adopting our constitution, the Padyatra will be hosted in Delhi.
  • The Department of Youth Affairs through its autonomous body, Mera Yuva Bharat, will organise the major event on Monday.
  • The Minister of Youth Affairs, Sports, Labour and Employment, and other dignitaries will lead it.
  • Samvidhan Divas Padyatra will start at 8 AM. It will commence from Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium at India Gate Circle.
  • The yatra will conclude by returning to the same location within 9:30 AM.
  • About 10,000 participants are expected to join the Padyatra tomorrow morning.

Before the event begins on Monday morning, the Delhi police has alerted everyone by issuing an advisory. A weekday morning will certainly be a lot busier than usual and the previously released restrictions and diversions will help residents avoid any unnecessary traffic snarls or issues while travelling to their destinations.

  • No one can park to stop their vehicles on C-Hexagon and nearby locations on November 25. According to the advisory, the concerned authorities will tow vehicles to Bhairo Mandir, Bhairon Marg, if found to be violating these rules. This significant decision has been taken to prioritise smooth traffic flow at the venue.
  • The advisory stated about avoiding Ashoka Road, Shahjahan Road, Tilak Marg, Zakir Hussain Marg, Janpath, Akbar Road till Gol Methi, and nearby locations.
  • Commuters are also advised to avoid the tunnels from Pragati Maidan to India Gate.
  • People are encouraged to make the best use of public transportation.
  • Commuters planning to travel to the airport or railway stations must keep enough time in hand to reach their destinations on time.
