India’s leading airline, IndiGo, has now shared an important update for travellers. The airline said it is working closely with the airport and ATC teams to restore normal flight operations. It also mentioned that some flight arrival and departure timings may be adjusted as the situation gradually returns to normal.
In a statement on X (formerly Twitter), IndiGo said, “Airport operator and ATC teams are working on a priority to fully restore systems and stabilise operations. The situation is expected to be normalised over the next few hours. During this period, some departure and arrival timings may continue to be adjusted.”
The airline assured passengers that its teams are on the ground, helping travellers with updated flight details, onward connections, and real-time information. IndiGo also encouraged passengers flying today to check their latest flight status online and allow a little extra time to reach the airport, considering possible delays and terminal congestion, the Hindustan Times reported.

Over 100 Flights Delayed After AMSS Malfunction
The AMSS system glitch temporarily disrupted Air Traffic Control communication, resulting in approximately 100 flight delays in the northern region. As per the Hindustan Times reports, the AMSS plays a critical role in sending and receiving messages related to flight paths, clearances, and other operational data that keep air travel smooth and safe.
Later in the day, IndiGo shared another positive update, confirming that the technical problem had been fixed and that normal operations were being progressively restored. Delhi Airport released an advisory at around 6:30 AM confirming that flight operations were progressively returning to normal and that the AMSS system was improving.
Passengers have had to be patient and uncertain throughout the day, but things are now much better.
