Train travel is an integral part of how India moves, and Vande Bharat trains have been playing a key role in making it more comfortable and seamless. Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off four new Vande Bharat trains, one of which is the Firozpur-Delhi Vande Bharat Express that began commercial operations on November 11. All About Firozpur-Delhi Vande Bharat Route
According to The Indian Express, the new Vande Bharat train will run between Firozpur Cantt and the New Delhi station. PM Modi recently flagged off this route, along with the Varanasi–Khajuraho, Lucknow–Saharanpur, and Ernakulam–Bengaluru routes. This new train will strengthen connectivity between Delhi and major cities in Punjab. It is also expected to boost trade, tourism, and employment, contributing to the overall socio-economic development of the border regions.

Travel Schedule & Timetable Of This New Route
The Firozpur-Delhi Vande Bharat will be operated by the Northern Railway (NR) zone. It will run as train numbers 26462 and 26461, covering a distance of 486 km in 6 hours and 40 minutes–making it the fastest train on this route. Currently, trains take 7 to 10 hours to cover this route.
The new train will depart Firozpur Cantonment at 7:55 AM and arrive in Delhi at 2:35 PM. In the return leg, the train will start from Delhi at 4 PM and reach Firozpur at 10:35 PM. It will run six days a week, barring Wednesday.
Train Fare & Stoppages
Vande Bharat Express between Firozpur and Delhi will have eight coaches–seven air-conditioned chair car coaches and one executive air-conditioned chair car coach. As per an NDTV report, the ticket price from Firozpur to Delhi is ₹1,415 for the AC Chair Car (CC) and ₹2,520 for the Executive Chair Car (EC).

Panipat
