In a shocking incident, a car parked near the Red Fort Metro Station in Delhi blasted on November 10, creating a panic-like situation. This blast led to fire spreading to three other vehicles near Gate 1 of the metro station. This explosion claimed 8 lives and left several injured. 12 people sustained severe injuries and are currently receiving medical treatment. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has rushed to the spot to investigate the matter and determine the cause of the explosion. Delhi has been put on high alert.

Car Near Red Fort Metro Station In Delhi Explodes

According to a report by The Indian Express, a blast happened in a car parked outside the Lal Quila Metro Station at around 6:30 pm on Monday, November 10. This explosion killed 8 people and left 12 injured, as a high alert has been sounded in both Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. About seven fire tenders reached the site to put out the flames. While the nature and cause of the blast remain unknown, its impact is grave and has left residents shaken.

The report reveals that a team of Delhi Police Special Cell Officers arrived at the site to further investigate the matter. A senior official of the Delhi Fire Service revealed to The Economic Times that the blast happened at a car parked outside Gate 1 of Red Fort Metro Station. The intensity of the blast was tremendous and several people are feared injured. Following the explosion of the first car, the fire instantly spread to three to four other vehicles, which were engulfed in flames.

Fire Tenders Curtail The Chain Reaction Of The Blast

The explosion caused chaos and panic among metro-goers at Red Fort Metro Station. Seven fire tenders reached instantly to douse the flames and contain it to the best of their ability before it spread to the shops and the entrance of the metro station. Since a car parked near the station exploded, it led to a chain reaction, which led to other vehicles catching fire in no time. Security has been amped up in Delhi following the Red Fort Metro Station car blast. Both Delhi and Uttar Pradesh have been put on high alert as investigations continue to determine the cause.
