A breakfast experience at a very popular restaurant in Gurgaon took an unexpected turn when a man found a live worm moving inside his sandwich. The video showing the worm was shared on Instagram and has raised questions about the hygiene standards at the restaurant. According to the Instagram post by Sulabh Mathur, he had gone to PAUL at One Horizon Centre in Gurgaon for breakfast around 11 am. He and the people accompanying him had ordered six to seven dishes and found a live worm moving in one of the sandwiches. Sulabh wrote that the experience was “extremely disturbing” and that food hygiene was compromised. He also advised customers to be careful and vigilant about what they are being served.
The shocking incident has now raised questions about hygiene at restaurants. Many customers even expressed that they did not expect this from a high-end restaurant like PAUL. They also questioned which places they could trust if such things are happening at popular restaurants.

PAUL Responds To The Incident
PAUL Gurgaon, however, reached out to Sulabh over WhatsApp and tried to apologise. Sulabh, however, was not satisfied with their message. He felt that their outlets do not take hygiene seriously and said that many people have reported similar experiences with PAUL in the past.
Netizens were naturally angered, and some of them even shared their similar experiences under the post. One of them wrote, “Not surprised! I saw the staff using the used glasses without washing and serving at different tables! That was my last visit to Paul,” while another commented, “PAUL is serving stale food at premium prices.”
A third user even shared her experience of seeing cockroaches running around a table at PAUL Gurgaon. There was even a comment which read, “Didn’t expect this from PAUL.” Many people thanked Sulabh for bringing the incident to light and wrote that they would never go there again.
