On our latest episode of Tere Gully Mein, we met none other than the beautiful and talented Huma Qureshi, who has been making headlines ever since Season 3 of Delhi Crime was released, getting praised for her brilliant performance. We explored Delhi’s iconic Kailash Colony Market with her and also visited her 50-year-old family restaurant, Saleem’s. Making the visit even more special, we also met her father there and witnessed their lovely bond ourselves.
The Special Bond Between Huma Qureshi And Her Father
Speaking to Huma Qureshi and her father was a truly special experience. We could truly feel that, like any other father and daughter duo, they share a relationship that is full of warmth, yet tiny banters here and there. In fact, we even asked Huma if she still gets scolded by her father sometimes, and she revealed that it was only last night that she got scolded.
Her father chimed in and complained about her schedule and how much of a workaholic she is. He admitted that he wants her to create some balance in her life and follow a healthier schedule. Waving her head at the irony, Huma Qureshi added that she cannot take this advice from her father because that’s exactly what she has grown up watching him do.
She revealed that when she was younger, they used to live in a one-BHK home in Kalkaji and now they have a house in GK. As a family, they have experienced all phases of life, and she has always seen her father working tirelessly from early in the morning till late at night, adding how she has learnt from the example her father set for her.
The Qureshi Family Tradition
We were curious to know if there was a Qureshi family tradition that they still follow, and Huma instantly looked at her father, expecting him to answer this well. Her father didn’t even need a moment to think and said, “Acha khana khao aur acha khilao.” They are all big foodies who simply want to indulge in great food and also treat everyone to wholesome dishes. They welcome everyone with warmth and love and strive to feed them the most delicious things.
