Nagaland Tourism, in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, will hold the much-anticipated 2nd Autumn Festival.  It’s a curated showcase of textiles, handicrafts, entertainment, culinary experiences, and more, hosted by Nagaland Tourism as a prelude to the much-loved Hornbill Festival. Building on the popularity of its initial iteration last year, this event gives Delhiites a taste of Nagaland’s lively Hornbill festival, especially for those who are unable to travel to Nagaland.

“Following the resounding success of our first edition last year, we return this year with an even grander showcase of culture, music, art, and textiles,” said Shri Temjen Imna Along, Honourable Minister of Tourism and Higher Education, Government of Nagaland in a press release. The Autumn Festival remains an immersive experience for those who cannot visit Nagaland and to improve the appreciation of those who can.

A varied range of Nagaland’s entrepreneurs and artists will offer the best in food, textiles, handicrafts, art, and music over the course of two days. Renowned businesses such as Runway India, Made in Nagaland, Woven Threads, Fusion Nagaland, Ikali’s Studio, and Kintem are among those taking part. Chef Aketoli Zhimomi, who was recently named to Culinary Culture’s list of India’s Top 30 Chefs, will be there to add culinary flair to the event.

The festival promises a magnificent fashion exhibition showcasing Naga textiles in both traditional and contemporary forms, as well as fascinating musical performances by the state’s renowned musicians. An art exhibition will also feature the works of some of Nagaland’s most accomplished painters.
