The Morbi suspension bridge collapse on October 30, 2022 was one of the most harrowing accidents in Gujarat’s history. It took at least 141 lives and injured nearly 100 people. Shockingly, not even a week has passed after the tragedy, and a video has surfaced which shows a car being driven on a narrow hanging bridge in Karnataka.
The video is acutely frightening for many Netizens who are still under the shock of the Morbi massacre.
The Video Is From Shivapura Hanging Bridge In Karnataka
The video of the car is from Shivapura Hanging Bridge in Karnataka’s Yellapura town. The car shown in the video bears a number plate of Maharashtra. Thankfully, the locals interrupted, and the travellers had to drive back their car down the bridge. As per reports, the cops have informed that they are looking into the issue.
The Negligence Has Enraged The Netizens
The video has been posted on several channels and by several individuals, including journalist Harish Upadhya. Commenting on the video, a user wrote, “Good that locals stood up and made them to move back! Seriously, what was that driver thinking!” Another commented, “How irresponsible towards the society… can some news channels start a program to interview such irresponsible candidates to make awareness sessions, how they think they feel responsible towards society by staying in this country, do they feel bad/proud by doing such act…”. Yet another wrote, “Insane people without common sense to dangerously try to drive a can on the pedestrian bridge. The driver must be punished and heavily penalised.”
According to a Hindustan Times report, the Uttara Kannada superintendent of police Suman D Pennekar has stated that the video is an old one and is going viral after the Morbi incident.
