Social Media Rumours Spark Chick-fil-A Controversy

Recently, a fake news incident involving Chick-fil-A’s waffle fries sent fans into a frenzy. It all began when a TikTok user, @bri.daniela1, posted a video claiming to be a Chick-fil-A employee with insider information about the chain discontinuing their famous waffle fries.

In a follow-up video, @bri.daniela1 clarified that the original post was not true and that she hadn’t expected it to gain so much attention. However, the damage was already done, as the rumour continued to spread, According to USA Today.

Another TikToker, @imjusmike, further fueled the fire by posting a video, which garnered 1 million views, stating, “So it’s true Chick-fil-A stopped selling waffle fries.” The rumour quickly picked up steam, causing widespread disappointment and panic among Chick-fil-A fans.

The situation escalated when @snackbetch, a popular Instagram account known for updates on fast food, treats, snacks, and sweets, posted about “Chick-fil-A french fries.” The post featured a photo of straight-cut fries with the text “NEW!!
